Honors English 10 - The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne (skip the forward - "The Custom House" and the short story at the end..."Endicott and the Red Cross"
Ethan Frome by Edith Warton
Current novel (1997 or more recent) by an American author - please be prepared to discuss on the first day of class
Honors English 11 - Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
Brave New World by Aldous Huxley
Animal Farm by George Orwell
AP English (12th grade) - Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky
Lord of the Flies by William Golding
Tess of the D'Ubervilles by Thomas Hardy
All of the above books except Tess of the D'Ubervilles may be checked out through the main office until June 24 and then again starting on August 13.
AP U.S. History Reading
Textbook The Enduring Vision - read chapters 1 and 2
A People's History of the United States 1492 - Present by Howard Zinn - read chapters 1 and 2.
